Our name
A baradari (from the Persian for "twelve doors") is a pavilion built to let air move freely, with three doorways in each of its four walls.
On the bank of the Ravi in Lahore stands the Baradari of Kamran Mirza, a summer pavilion traditionally dated to 1540 and thought to be the oldest Mughal building in the city. Its doors open in every direction, so the river breeze passes straight through. The river has since changed its course, and today the pavilion stands on an island in the middle of the water.
We loved that idea: a space with no closed walls, where air, water and ideas move in every direction, unhindered. That is how we want to make games, and how we want people to play them.
